The Science of the Balm

Blackcurrant Seed Oil (Rich in GLA) — The nutritional heart of the balm. Blackcurrant seed oil is one of nature’s richest sources of gamma-linolenic acid (GLA), an omega-6 fatty acid studied for its role in supporting the skin barrier and comforting dry, stressed skin. Skin cannot readily produce GLA on its own, making topical delivery especially valuable for delicate young complexions.

Sweet Almond Oil — A traditional favourite for delicate skin, prized for centuries across cultures. Its gentle fatty acid profile — rich in oleic and linoleic acids — softens, conditions, and helps smooth rough, dry patches without heaviness.
